Don Karnage Fan Fiction

Stipulations:

This page is a compendium of fanfiction on the web that in some rather substantial way have Karnage included as a character. There are some really great ones out there, and a number of not-so-great ones. I'll give my take on each of them as a guideline, but you really should read them for yourself. What does my stupid opinion matter, huh?

Just so you don't think I'm too biased, I'll warn you that the fics I like usually portray DK in at least a semi-favourable light. I can even handle if he's pure villain; as long as he's capable. In fact, a number of fanfics out there that were otherwise good have not been included because of their portrayal of Karnage. If he is seen as being completely insane or some kind of bloodthirsty murderer or worse, a moron, I don't tend to like it very much, and will probably not put it on my website.

Word of warning: If I say something about your fic that you don't like, I'm sorry but I won't change it. You're free to badmouth anything of my creation of course, but please notice that I tried very hard not to be insulting, so when I say something, I probably feel that I have to say it in order to warn or caution readers.

The War in Drekmore By: Kim McFarland	The first fic I read with any Karnage content in it. Great characterization and a duel with Negaduck! It's really nothing more than a fight, but with all these Disney villains making cameo appeareances, how can you NOT like it?
Pieces of Fate Pt. 1 and 2 By: The Highflight Crew	Features a recently vanquished Don Karnage in desert surroundings and a thirst for revenge. Karnie's a complete bad guy here and gets ousted in the end, but it is still a great fic! LINK NOT WORKING
Shade By: Liz Spencer	Unfortunately Liz's wonderful fanfic never got past this first installment, but it is still definitely worth the read and required reading for all Karnage-aholics! Deals with his mysterious past.
Thy Fearful Symmetry By: Liz Spencer	Little more than a cameo appearance in this behemoth of a fic, but enough to really get your pulse going! Karnage and his significant other LaRoca have a couple extremely steamy scenes...
Konondrum By Scarlet	How Karnage met Scarlet. It's interesting reading how Scarlet tries to unravel all of Karnage's little secrets while still keeping a few of her own.
Letting the Fox Out of the Bag By: Scarlet	My personal favourite. A family emergancy allows Scarlet to learn much more about Karnage's past, and is surprised at what she finds!
Absence Makes the Heart Go Plunder By: Scarlet	Karnie and Scarlet have a fight and Scarlet leaves, which leads to some interesting complications. Check out who Scarlet's sister is!
Splitting Heirs By: Scarlet	Scarlet's now pregnant and Karnage is planning another raid on Cape Suzette. Kit Cloudkicker comes along for the ride as well.
Love is a Many Plundered Thing By: Scarlet	How Karnage's parents met and fell in love. Not directly about Karnage, but a very romantic story and definitely worth the read. It's an awesome prequel!
Talespin Jeopardy By: Scarlet	Don Karnage, Shere Khan, and Baloo are contestants on Jeopardy! A hilarious little skit by Scarlet : )
Halloween Island By: Jim Kellogg	I don't know why, but I LOVE this story. Yes, Karnage is a bad-meanie-guy and slightly insane in this story, but author Jim Kellogg did an admirable job of the character and a wonderful take on the accent!
To Catch A Pirate By: Julie E. Zison and Ang D	Remember 'Thelma and Louise?' Heroines Bryn and Selena set out after Don Karnage, but things don't turn out exactly as planned. FIXED LINK
Of Bullets, Coats, and Wings By: Julie E. Zison and Ang D	Another installment of the 'Bryn and Selena' stories! This time the plot concentrates on a marooned Bryn putting up with Karnage, who starts acting irresistible again. FIXED LINK
Invasion (Teaser) By: Ted Heinz	The first K&K (That's Kit and Karnage!) fic ever! This teaser explores how Don Karnage and Kit first met, their relationship and its outcome. This will be one of the greats, trust me.
Plant Food By: Ted Heinz	A small excerpt from Ted's 'Once a Pirate' fic. In it, Kit and Karnage appear to have reached a grudging alliance, and have to work together to escape from a giant man-eating plant!
Hierro's Home By Lennox MacBeth	A very unusual crossover between Don Karnage and what I believe is the sci-fi 'Pern' series. Extremely odd, but well written.
Who Me? By: Charles Grey	A Future Kit teams up with his old mentor. Good start, but still unfinished.
Haunting By: Charles Grey	Karnage and a grown-up Molly meet up in an abandoned tunnel. Great characterization!
Colors of the Past By: Nina Adams	Karnage has coldy killed Becky and Baloo, something I can't really see him doing, then lays the moves on Guianna, and she doesn't like it, which doesn't make any sense at all!
Almost Paradise By: Nina Adams	Karnage is a jerk, but at least they give him a chance to explain why, which elicites sympathy from Molly.
Dear Unknown + Storm in a Teacup By: Nina Adams	Nina takes a different approach to Don Karnage in these two fics as he is paired up with his long-lost love, Alexandra.
A New Addition By: Tim Bordel(?)	Becky's babysitter develops Stockholm Syndrome (j/k). For those who have been asking, a part 2 was never written.
The Origin of Don Karnage By: The She-Wolf	A possible scenario of how Don Karnage turned to piracy, got a crew of his own, and overthrew a rival captain to take command of the Iron Vulture
A Beginning By: Courtney Maxwell	Karnage develops feelings for...Louie's niece? An unusual romance story with a twist at the end!
Don Karnage's Theme By Sophie 'Sparky' Dean	A parody of the song "I'm Too Sexy" rewritten for Don Karnage
